Indian Postal Dept publish Postal, Mail Guard/MG and Multi Tasking Staff/MTS Written Exam New Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern/Scheme from 2014, will be held base on this new Revised Syllabus only for selection of Postman, MG&MTS jobs. The Indian Postal Dept going to issue for engaging Postman, Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff/MTS selection Exams, in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Jharkhand, Jammu&Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Sikkim, Assam, Uttaranchal, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya, West Bengal, This Revised and New Syllabi for both Departmental Competitive Examinations and Open Market/Direct Recruitment Selection Tests conducting for Postal, Mail Guard/MG and Multi Tasking Staff/MTS Jobs. The Postal Dept Competent Authority approved this after lot of attention for this Revised or New Syllabi for both Limited Departmental Competitive Examinations and Direct Recruitment Exams. Revised Syllabus/Exam Pattern for Postman, Mail Guard/MG and MTS on Direct Recruitment Exams:
Part wise: 3 
Part-A: General Knowledge(25 marks/25 questions), Syllabus-Topics-Geography, Indian History, Freedom Struggle, Culture&Sports, General Policy&Constitution of India, Economics, General Science, Current Affairs and Reasoning&Analytical ability of 10th class Standard.
Part-B: Mathematics(25 marks/25 question): Syllabus-Topics-Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals&Fractions, Relationship between Numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, Ratio&Proportion, Profit&Loss, Simple Interest, Average, Discount, Partnership, Time& Work, Time&Distance, Use of Tables&Graphs, Mensuration.
Part-C(i): English(25 marks/25 questions): Syllabus-Topics-: Articles, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Tenses, Verbs, Synonyms, Antonyms, Vocabulary, Sentence Structure, Proverbs, Phrases, Questions from a small unseen passage, etc..
Part-C(ii): Regional Language(25 marks/25 questions): Syllabus-Topics-For Hindi-Shabd pad, Kriya bhed, Mishr&Sanyukt vakya, Vakyo ka Rupantaran, Swar Sandhi, Alankar, Samas, Muhavare&Lokokityan, Ashudh Vakya Shodan, Apathit Gadyansh. These Topics shall be replicated in regional languages.
`a. The time allowed for answering 100 questions will be 120 minutes.
b. The questions on GK and Maths will also be supplied in the Regional languages in addition to English.
c. One blank page will be kept at the end of Question Paper Booklet for rough work by the Candidates.
