Pay Scale: Rs.5400-25200/- per month
Qualification: Pass in ‘Madhyamic Exam/Intermediate of WB Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent. Elementary knowledge of Computer operation with the ability of typing on Computer- English typing with 35 words per minute and Bengali typing with 25 WPM.
Age Limit: 18 years to 40 years
Selection: Written Examination, Examination Code: 01/C/2013.
LDC/ASST Written Exam Scheme and Syllabus:
LDC Exam Scheme/Pattern: Objective type multiple choice questions conduct in 2 parts i.e. Part-1 and Part-2 in the same day.
Part-1 for 100 Marks having 100 questions carry 1 mark each. English-30 marks, General Studies-40 marks and Arithmetic-30 marks.
PART-2 has conventional type Questions on a. Group-A-English, b. Group-B-Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali for 50 marks for each group, so total of 100 marks for Part-2, this Paper-2 exam for 1 hour time.
NOTE: The SSC will done correction first for Paper-1, if the Candidates get the eligible marks in the Paper-1 then after his/her Paper-2 will valued answer OMR sheet otherwise the Paper-2 did not get eligible for valuation.
SYLLABUS standards: On Madhyamic Examination of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
PART-1: English: Fundamentals of English such as Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage, etc..
General Studies: Matters of everyday observation including everyday Science, Current events and problems with special reference to India, Elementary knowledge of Indian History and Indian Geography.
Arithmetic: Divisibility, Fraction, Decimals, Recurring, Simplification, H.C.F.,L.C.M., Partnership, Average, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Time and Distance, Area of Rectangle& Squares.
PART-2:
GROUP-A: English-
a. Drafting of report in English from points or materials supplied;
b. Condensing of propose passage(Summary or precis);
c. Translation from Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali, as the case may be, into English language.
GROUP-B: Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/Nepali:
a. Drafting of a report from points or materials supplies;
b. Condensing of a prose passage(Summary or precis);
c. Translation from English into Bengali or Hindi or Urdu or Nepali, as the case may be.
